St. Kitts and Nevis Football Association, opened a Youth referees’ course, on the evening of Wednesday 8th December, at the conference room of Football House in St. Kitts.
The course will conclude today-Monday 13th December.
Some twenty-seven participants are in attendance, comprising of young men and women from St.Kitts and Nevis, some of whom are first-time referees.
General Secretary of the SKNFA Techell McLean, officially opened the course and urged the participants to make the best use of the material to be provided.
John Bergan, Chairman of the referees’ committee, had high praises for the convener of the course, Malcolm Ramsey.
He highlighted the improvements shown by local referees in recent times.
‘Mr. Ramsey is one of the best FIFA referees’ instructors in the CFU and CONCACAF,’ he stated.
Convener of the course Malcolm Ramsey, outlined his expectations of the course, hinting to the participants, that “one of you can reach to the world cup… the onus is on you the participants, to be determined to reach the highest level that you can reach.”
