SKNFA Premier Division action returned to the Nevis Athletic Stadium in Nevis, on the evening of Saturday 15th July.
It was game two for the day, as in game one, MANTAB defeated the home team, Hardtimes, 2 goals to nil.
It seemed to be a one-sided contest, as with the minutes running out in the second half, Bath United had sent shock waves into the Newtown Camp and had what appeared to be, an impregnable lead of 3 goals to nil!
Bath appeared to have the game totally LOCKED DOWN!
There was even an instance when a Bath striker was making a run-through and a Newtown defender rode on his back for a few seconds, in order to stop him!
However, even as the minutes ticked away to the final whistle and with tension mounting between the players, even resulting in a brawl of sorts and a few red cards, Newtown made a run through and struck the back of the net.
Moments later, with the Bath United defence, apparently fast asleep, Newtown bombed home another.
Make that 3 goals to 2.
Shortly thereafter, with the Bath United men still slumbering, Newtown unbelievably shot home the equalizer.
Had it not been for a couple of great saves by the Bath goalie, it could well have been 4 goals to 3.
However, the final whistle was blown and Bath held on to draw the game-3 goals-all.
