Football : Four Teams Book Round Of 16 Spot in FA Cup

Conaree Fireball International, Molineux, Trafalgar Southstars, and Mantab each secured their spot in the Round of 16 of the 2024 SKNFA FA Cup with victories during the preliminary round held at the Cayon playing field over the weekend.

On Friday, June 7, Mantab defeated Rivers of Living Water 6-1. Kimmel French scored four goals in the 2nd, 7th, 17th, and 29th minutes for Mantab, while Eversley Davis scored two goals in the 25th and 88th minutes. Kwame Brown scored the solitary goal for Rivers in the 79th minute from a penalty spot. In another match on Friday, Trafalgar Southstars dominated 607 Construction Lodge Patriots with an 8-0 win. Goals were scored by Trimar Samuel in the 22nd, 80th, and 86th minutes, Jabari Willet in the 20th and 3rd minute of first-half stoppage time, and Akanye Samuel-Francis with a hattrick in the 47th, 68th, and 78th minutes.

On Saturday, June 8, Conaree Fireball and TGE Dieppe Bay Eagles finished regulation time goalless and went to a penalty shootout, with Conaree emerging victorious at 5-4. Finally, on Saturday, Molineux defeated KFC Trinity/Challengers United 4-1. Ronald Williams scored a hattrick in the 1st, 10th, and 35th minutes of the match, and Kvaun Wattley rounded out the first-half onslaught in the 39th minute. Dashaun Billingshurst scored Challenger’s lone goal in the 69th minute. The FA Cup Round of 16 is set to begin on July 1st.
