The Five Parishes Relay Competition, an annual event, will take place at the Nevis Athletic Stadium on Sunday, April 28th. The competition features teams representing the five parishes on Nevis, who will compete for the coveted trophy.
On Wednesday, April 24th, the various sponsors of the parish teams presented their respective head coaches with new shirts for the athletes to wear on the big day. Some of the shirts are also available for sale to fans who want to show support for their teams.
The teams, sponsors and head coaches are as follows:
– St. Thomas’ Dragons, sponsored by The St. Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla National Bank, with head coach Jamal Hamilton
– St. James’ Tigers, sponsored by Island Water Sports, X-Petrol and the Finished Touch, with head coach Adrian Williams
– St. George’s Hawks, sponsored by The Nevis Credit Union, with head coach Eutroy Liburd
– St. John’s Mustangs, sponsored by S. L. Horsford’s Ltd and Carib Brewery, with head coach Kazel Williams
All the coaches promised an exciting meet on Sunday and encourage track enthusiasts to come out in large numbers.
