The word from the Nevis Amateur Basketball Association (NABA) is that the grand final game to determine the Basketball champions on Nevis for 2014, has been postponed..
The final match in the best of three series was previously set for tomorrow Tuesday 1st July but has now been pushed back to Saturday 5th July.
There was no reason given for the change.3
However, the series between defending champions CG Rebels and Bronx Crisis, is interestingly poised, as the CG Rebels won the first game quite comprehensively and seemed all set to do the repeat in game two when they were leading at the end of the third quarter with a score line of 42 to 26. However, Bronx Crisis then pulled off an amazing come from behind victory, when they totally dominated the final quarter.
The slight delay may work in the favour of the Bronx Crisis team who would be hoping that their star player and captain, Everson EV Webbe, would have fully recuperated from an injury that kept him out of the two previous games.
The match will be played at the Grell Hull-Stevens Netball Complex, starting at 8 pm.
