Organizers of the St. Kitts Music Festival are this year pulling out all the stops to cater to the needs of the thousands of fans who are expected to flock to the Kim Collins Athletic Stadium over the three nights of concerts, later this month.
As the opening day for the 23rd Annual event draws near, committee officials are taking extra measures to provide greater convenience for the many patrons who will be seeking comfortable and secured parking spaces.
Chairman of the festival, Damion Hobson, said his committee has successfully ne-gotiated arrangements with the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank, (ECCB), which has agreed to open up 200 spaces to be used by the public for parking.
The Chairman said his committee will be trying to assist as many ticket holders as possible, given the high demand for parking spaces.
As a consequence, certain conditions have had to be applied, to determine who would qualify to gain access to the Central Bank parking lot.
The two main conditions are that:
1. Each vehicle must have a minimum of three (3) persons
2. Each person in the vehicle must already possess their festival ticket, which has to be shown to the security officers, upon arrival.
A shuttle service has also been put in place to transport patrons between the hours 6:00pm-10:00pm from the parking lot, to the site of the festival.
The 2019 St. Kitts Music Festival concerts are scheduled for Thursday, 27th – Sat-urday, 29th June.
