As the Empire Sports club celebrates its 40th anniversary of service to the community, the planning committee has come up with an exciting range of activities. Featured in the lineup are two ‘MUST SEE’ Cricket matches, scheduled for Sunday 10th November.
Manager of the club, Errol Somersall, indicated that starting at 2 pm on that day, the Empire Masters team will engage the Nevis Masters team, in a T20 encounter. This match will also serve as a very important practice match for the Nevis Masters, as they are planning to head off to St. Maarten at month-end, to participate in the Luther Kelly over 35 tournaments.
Immediately after that match, a much more youthful Empire Cricket team will engage a Nevis X1. Both matches will be played at the ET Willet Park and will be free of cost to members of the general public.
