(CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS)- Under the distinguished patronage of Ms. Sandrene Nolan the Elizabeth Pemberton Primary School held its graduation and prize giving ceremony at the United Pentecostal Church, Marion Heights on Monday, July 6, 2015.
Adopting the theme, ‘Illuminating, The World: Envision It, Reach for it, achieve it!’ a total of fifteen students graduated from the learning institution and would continue their journey to the secondary level.
The impressive ceremony began with the invocation by Pastor Cecil Bartlette. This was followed by the National Anthem by the school choir.
Mr. Carl Williams, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Tourism, in his opening remarks congratulated the graduating class of 2015. He wished them well as they continue onwards to secondary school.
Mrs. Marion Lescott, principal of the school delivered the school’s report. She used to opportunity to congratulate the graduants. She saluted the top boy Samual Ortiz and the top girl Kalianne Smith. She encouraged all the students to strive for excellence and to remember the school’s motto, “Forward Ever backward Never”.
Former student, Ms. Shanelle Simmonds was the featured speaker at the ceremony while Kalianne Smith gave the valedictory speech.
The ceremony also saw entertainment by the school’s choir and an item from the graduating class.
Mrs. Veron Walters gave the vote of thanks.
