As the saying goes, ‘all good things, must come to an end’ and so on Friday 26th July, the exciting annual Eddy Richards, Football summer camp, came to an end, with an official closing ceremony.
The proceedings were ably chaired by Mr. Emmanuel EDDY Richards himself.
The invocation was rendered by Miss Deslyn Wilkinson.
In his opening remarks, Richards opined that the young Footballers would have learnt a lot of new skills which would hold them in good stead, when school reopens in September, as he reminded them that the first order of business in the new term, will be the inter primary Football tournament.
He noted that he expects that the tournament will be a competitive one but reminded them that the St. Thomas’ Primary School team is the defending champion and is not planning to relinquish the title this year.
He took time out to thank the parents and the sponsors.
The sponsors’ representatives present, then had an opportunity to speak to the gathering about their respective products and to encourage the children to excel.
These included: Nevlec; Bank of Nevis; the Development Bank of St. Kitts and Nevis and First Caribbean Bank.
The sponsors’ representatives then assisted in the handing out of certificates to the deserving participants.
