Basseterre, St. Kitts, December 6, 2018 – Reports of an earthquake being felt in St. Kitts Thursday night.
“We had an earthquake about 10:45 tonight. It was heavy,” said EH, a resident of Sandy Point by WatsApp.
“Well one hard rumbling. The shaking here in Dieppe Bay and some in Sandy Point say they felt it. Mother nature not pleased on December 6,” said SS. Initials are used as the information was given privately and permission was not sought to use their full names.
There is no locally known confirmation of an earthquake being felt in St. Kitts at 4:37 on Thursday afternoon.
It was recorded with a magnitude 3.3. The center was located 81km NNE of Road Town, British Virgin Islands
