Dowe Promises More for Next Year

Chief Coordinator of the recently concluded Youth and Sports Department/Development Bank Tape ball league, Brian Dowe, took time out recently to do a postmortem of the tournament.
Dowe deemed the tournament an overwhelming success and indicated that although he conceived the idea, once his boss, Jamir Claxton had approved it, his working committee put the plans together and the rest is history.
He thanked main sponsor, The Development Bank of St. Kitts  and Nevis, for being on board and took time out to thank the participating teams for affording breath taking and exciting cricket to the adoring fans.
He also made special mention of ‘fan of the tournament’, Sylvester Pemberton for his unparalled support of the games and thanked the umpires, scorers, grounds men and all who assisted in anyway , to make the tournament the success story that it was.
He also had warm congratulations for the overall winner, the Empire Club.
Going forward, Dowe noted that next year, for the annual event, his committee plans to include at least two more male teams and two female teams.
The committee is also thinking seriously of moving the tournament base to the Villa Grounds in Charlestown.
