Ms. Desiree Herbert is the winner of the 2014 LIME Miss Black San Swimsuit Pageant.
Hundreds of cheering fans came out to the Sandy Point Hard Court on Sunday, April 20, 2014 to witness the 2014 LIME Miss Black San Swimsuit Pageant where six (6) beautiful ladies went face to face, displaying their physique and modeling techniques and skills.
The beauties were: Unoma Allen, Nakilah Watson, Cherrissa Maynard, Desiree Herbert, Royisha Demming and Nicola Clarke who all competed in five judged segments.
In the Vintage Swimwear segment, the ladies were tasked to model swimsuits mainly worn by women in the 70s, 80s and the 90s.
In the second round of the competition, the ladies were put to the task to model swimsuits with Carib Beer’s label.
The third segment was the Creative Wear segment and here the ladies modeled swimsuits that were made of the main elements of the sea.
The fourth judged segment was the Identical Wear segment. In this segment the ladies modeled one standard style of swimsuit designed by a local designer.
The final segment was the Interview Segment.
At the end of the night, Desiree Herbert was adjudged winner of the LIME Miss Black San Swimsuit Pageant 2014. Royisha Demming of Sandy Point placed First Runner-up while Nicola Clarke was adjudged Second Runner-up.
Best Body Paint and Best Vintage Swimsuit were won by Ms. Desiree Herbert which gave her enough points to capture the top position. The Amity Award, Chairman’s Award and Best Interview were won by Unoma Allen, Popular Award by Nakilah Watson and Best Carib Beer Swimsuit and Best Creative Swimsuit were won by Royisha Demming.
Reigning Miss Culture Swimwear, Cherrissa Maynard did not place in the competition, however, she posted on her face book page that she is proud of herself.
Ms Herbert now moves on to represent the Federation in the Miss Venus 2014 Pageant in Anguilla in June of this year.
