The Department of Marine Resources in St. Kitts and Nevis is reminding all registered fishing vessel owners and captains that the 2025 Inspection and Licensing period officially begins this week.
This annual exercise ensures that all fishing vessels meet the required safety and regulatory standards, keeping both fisherfolk and marine resources safe. Vessel owners and captains are encouraged to take note of the following schedule and ensure compliance with the Fisheries Regulations.

[02-04 December] – Basseterre East Landing Site
[05-06 December] – Basseterre West Landing Site
[09-10 December] – Old Road Fish Landing Site
[11-13 December] – Sandy Point Fish Landing Site
[16-17 December] – Dieppe Bay Fish Landing Site
Nevis
[18 December] – Jessups Fishers
[19 December] – Cotton Ground Fishers
[20 December] – Jones Bay Fishers
[23 December] – New Castle Fishers
[24 December] – Long Haul Bay Fishers
[27 December] – Indian Caste Fishers
[30 December] – Charlestown Fishers
All inspections will be conducted between 9 a.m. to 12p.m daily.
Vessel owners are asked to take note and be guided accordingly.
