The gentlemen all indicated that the meeting was a familiarization visit and the Minister was appraised of the cricketing plans for the LICA and the local association.

Minister Evelyn pledged his commitment and that of the Nevis Island Administration, in terms of the continued development of the cricketers on the island, with the stated purpose of ensuring that more Nevisians make it to the prestigious West Indies senior team.

He also indicated that plans are afoot for the necessary improvement of the ET Willett Park.

Mention was made of the fact that Nevisian speedster, Kian Pemberton, is the sole Leeward Island representative, on the West Indies under 19 team, which is currently engaged in the youth world cup in New Zealand and they all wished him every success, with Mr. Lewis indicating that he hoped that Pemberton would do like Alzarri Joseph and move straight into the West Indies senior team, at short notice.
