Chief Coordinator of the Luther Kelly over 35’s cricket tournament and long-standing Master’s cricketer, Dango Farrell, took time out on Sunday 9th January, to salute the over fifty cricketers from St. Kitts and Nevis.
Dango was speaking after the third game between the seasoned cricketers from the two islands, which was played in Sandy Point on that day.
According to the veteran cricketer, it was a joy to watch the older guys in action, having played from youth level, right through, with some of them have represented their respective islands in the Leeward Islands tournaments.
‘It is not all about winning. It is nice to see the guys, still having fun with each other; eating well, sleeping well, staying fit and just enjoying themselves,’ he stated.
He also took time out to mention some of the persons who have led out in organizing the matches: Harwood Williams, Tony Bowry, Franklyn KUT Daniel, Junior DUNCAN Mills and Wendell MICEY Wallace.
Farrell himself, although residing in St. Maarten, has also been a huge influence in coordinating the games as well.
The two federation teams have played three matches in the five-match series so far, with Nevis leading 3 games to nil.
The fourth game will be scheduled for Nevis, in the not too distant future.
