Charlestown-Nevis- Chief Executive Officer of the Nevis Cultural Foundation Mr. Jerome Rawlins has confirmed that his department will be having what he has referred to as a CULTURE HOP this coming Saturday 14th April.
What exactly is a CULTURE HOP?
Mr. Rawlins explained that as part of the 10th anniversary celebrations of the foundation his department will be coordinating a wide variety of cultural presentations throughout the Nevisian community from between 1 pm and 5 pm.
During that period of time the department will make specific stops at certain points within various communities and entertain the general public with such cultural presentations as masquerades; steel pan; drumming; clowns and dance.
The points within the communities to be targeted are:
Culturama Bar in Jessups; Cherry Tree bar in Barnes Ghaut; Charlie’s bar in Cotton Ground; Carbo’s shop in Fountain; XPetrol in Camps; Danville’s shop in Brick Kiln; Millie’s shop in Butlers; Tree Bar in Zion; PittyMan Shop in Rawlins; Norma’s bar in Church Ground; The Gardens in Cherry Garden; Alfred’s shop in Bath Village; Arlene’s shop in Government Road; Mango Tree bar in Craddock Road and climax at the Memorial Square in Charlestown.
Rawlins is cordially inviting members of the general public to join with them at one or more of the stop points and celebrate with them, as they HOP along.
