Friday 17th February was a big day at the Charlestown Secondary school, as the school hosted its annual cross country runs.
The entire day was dedicated to the activity, as the junior boys and girls and the senior girls, competed in the morning and the afternoon was left up to the senior boys.
There was much hype and fanfare and the costumes were out and so too was the family support.
The children appeared especially motivated especially after the teachers participated in a historic cross country event, one week earlier.
It is understood that at least one long standing record was broken but the details were not immediately available.
