The West Indies team, dressed in maroon, delivered a dominating performance in the ongoing T20 World Cup on Monday night by defeating the strong Afghanistan team.
Johnson Charles and Nicholas Pooran provided a strong start for the home team in St. Lucia. By the end of 20 overs, the team had scored an impressive 218 for 5.
The Afghan team struggled and lost wickets regularly, ultimately being all out for 114. The West Indies team is now gearing up to face England in the Super 8’s tonight at 8:30 pm in St. Lucia.
Another Super 8 match will occur this morning at 10:30 am between South Africa and the USA in Antigua.
