On Wednesday, June 12th, an important draw took place at the TDC building in Charlestown.
The Education and Sports Departments on Nevis arranged a draw to determine which teams will play in the two zones for the annual Runako Morton/TDC Primary Schools cricket championship, set to commence on Friday, June 21st.
The draw was supervised by Senior Sports Officer Carl Tuckett and conducted by Mr. Thyrone Hendrickson, the TDC representative. Coaches and teachers from the participating schools were also present.
The zones were finalized as follows:
Zone A: VOJN (defending champions), St. James’ Primary, MCPS, STPS
Zone B: CPS (last year finalist), JLPS, EPPS, IWPS
The tournament will commence on Friday, June 21st, with an official opening ceremony followed by one match.
