Kieron Pollard turned in a vintage all-around performance for the Multan Sultans in their 21-run loss to the Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League in Lahore on Saturday.
The 35-year-old took 2 for 16, which included a blinding return catch of Abdullah Shaffique (48) as Lahore rattled up 180 for 9.
Pollard then came in with Multan struggling at 76 for 4 in the 11th over before blasting three sixes in his innings of 39 off 28 balls.
He was dismissed by Player of the Match Rashid Khan (3/15) off the penultimate ball of the match with the game already gone.
Multan closed on 159 for 7, falling to their third defeat of the campaign.
They are in second place with eight points and trail the Qalanders by four points in the race for playoff places.
Pollard has 108 runs in five innings this season and averages 54.00 with a strike rate of 156.52 for the Sultans.
He has two wickets at 11 runs apiece and has bowled three overs for the entire tournament so far.
