Cricket : New Vision Defeats Nevis Masters

The Nevis Masters team played another practice match versus the New Vision team, on Sunday 30th April, at the VOJN grounds.

New Vision won the toss and elected to bat first and got off to an ultra-aggressive start, with Jeffers and Mills, looking in good touch.

However, Sterling Marshall with his off-spinners managed to put the brakes on the scoring and getting both batsmen in the process.

New Vision got to 128 in their allotted 15 overs.

The Master’s team got off to a quiet start and saw most of the top-order batsmen getting starts but not staying around long enough.

They eventually succumbed to 110 at the end of over number 15.

Summarized scores: New Vision 128: Jeffers 48; Mills 25; Charles 16 and Nisbett 15
Marshall 3 wickets; Maynard and Cranston 1 wicket each

Masters: 110: Curtis Dore 16; Sterling Marshall 15; Sydney newton 14; Joel Simmonds 12*; Curtis Morton 12
Allan Ward and Peter Charles 2 wickets each.
