Cricket fans in St. Kitts and Nevis are still hopeful that local under 19 stars, Onaje Amory, Jaden Carmichael and Carlon Bowen Tuckett, will get the opportunity to showcase their talents in the next round of matches.
Amory and Carmichael, were sidelined in the last encounter that the Windies played in St.Kitts, as they were in covid isolation.
However, the Windies team is scheduled to engage Papua New Guinea on Wednesday 26th January, in Trinidad, as part of the plate quarter-finals.
After the league stages, the top 2 teams from each group qualify for the Super League and compete for places 1–8, whereas the bottom 2 from each group qualify for the Plate League and will compete for places 9–16.
The Plate Quarterfinals and Semifinals are the knock-out matches played by the bottom 2 placed teams from each group for spots from 9–16.
Depending on how the Windies team progresses, they will also have more matches to play and local fans are hopeful that the trio will be included in the final eleven, in the not too distant future.
