Good evening to all residents of the Federation, the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force is investigating the heinous death of one of our children. As Commissioner of Police I take it personal when one of our children are hurt. I offer condolences on behalf of the police force, myself, and my family to the family of Shante Claxton. I pledge the full resources of the police force and if needed, I will seek the help of the FBI in bringing this person to justice. As a people, this killing has touched the souls of all of us; this is not the time to keep quiet.
Please call crime stoppers at 1-800-8477 and you do not have to give your name. Some of you have whatsapped me with the name of a suspect and I assure you that the police are out looking for him right now.
I ask for calm if he is found by you before the police find him. Please let justice be done. I am a father of four daughter, and while I understand what anger causes men to do, I urge you, please do not take the law into your own hands.
Please call Superintendent Mitchell at 869 6629336 if you have any further information. Let us work together and bring this miscreant to justice.
Thank you,
C.G. Walwyn, Ph.D (ABD)
