Charlestown, Nevis-The Communications Unit, within the Ministry of Social Development, in the Nevis Island Administration, is set to launch a youtube video channel on Tuesday, February 4, 2020.
The significant event is set to take place at 3 pm.
According to Senior Communications Officer, Mr. Swaine Evelyn, the name of the video channel will be the SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT OUTLOOK and will feature the weekly program, ‘Social Development Outlook’, which highlights, personnel and events coordinated within the various departments that make up the Ministry of Social Development.
Each week, new shows and programs will be added and some older programs will also be featured, which will include some of the Christmas tree lighting ceremonies, held in December 2019.
The dynamic team who will guide the programming is Minister of Social Development-Hon. Eric Evelyn; Senior Communications Officer-Swaine Evelyn; Ramie Gumbs; Sheldon Joseph; Tyrone Davis; Derecka Liburd and Shanaih Pemberton.
The general public is kindly asked to monitor the video channel and keep abreast of the exciting events and information from the Ministry of Social Development.
ABOUT THE COMMUNICATIONS UNIT
The Communications Unit within the Ministry of Social Development was initiated by then Minister of Social Development, Hon. Hensley Daniel and was run singlehandedly by Senior Communications Officer, Curtis Morton, until revamped by incoming Minister of Social Development, Hon. Hazel Brandy-Williams, who added several staff members to the Unit.
Later, the Unit was inherited by the current Minister of Social Development, Hon. Eric Evelyn.
Curtis Morton, officially retired from the public service in September 2019 and his position has been filled by current Senior Communications officer, Mr. Swaine Evelyn.
