The Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College (CFBC) will hold a Commencement Ceremony to celebrate the Class of 2023 on Tuesday, February 20th, 2024 at 4:30 p.m. The event will take place at the Pro-Cathedral of St. George with St. Barnabas, (St. George’s Anglican Church) and will be under the patronage of Her Excellency Dame Marcella Liburd, Governor-General of St. Kitts and Nevis. All attendees are requested to be seated by 4:00 p.m.
The ceremony will commence with the traditional Academic Procession featuring the president, vice presidents, faculty and graduates, starting from Independence Square at 4:00 p.m. The procession route will follow Central Street, then turn onto Church Street and proceed north to the venue.
The keynote speaker for the ceremony is Mrs. Carol Mitchell, a Published Author, Educator, and Entrepreneur. The Class Representative is Ms. Jodie-Lyn Watson, the Valedictorian of Arts, Sciences, and General Studies.
The Class of 2023 comprises of 281 graduates from the College’s five Divisions. Among the graduates, 106 belong to Arts, Sciences, and General Studies (ASGS), 34 belong to Teacher Education, 23 belong to Health Sciences, 115 belong to Technical and Vocational Education and Management Studies, and three (3) belong to Adult and Continuing Education.
The graduating class has earned postgraduate diplomas and certificates in Education and Midwifery, respectively. They have also earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, Associate degrees and diplomas in various fields such as Agricultural Studies, Office Administration and Management Studies, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, Architectural Design Technology, Information Technology, Timber, Automotive as well as Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Culinary Arts, Hospitality Studies, Accounts, Economics, Entrepreneurship, History, Law, Modern Languages, Tourism Studies, Sociology, Visual Communication, Environmental Studies, Information and Communication Technology, Mathematics, and Natural Sciences. Moreover, they have also earned Enrolled Nursing Assistant and Culinary Arts certification.
The ceremony expects the attendance of government officials, dignitaries, and parents and guardians of the Class of 2023. The Minister of Education and the Deputy Prime Minister, the Hon. Dr. Geoffrey Hanley, are also expected to attend.
