Easterns went under in their second consecutive game as they had no response for the TDC Calypso team, as game one of the Sports Department/Development Bank softball Cricket league was played on the evening of Wednesday, 9th October.
The action was at the ET Willet Park, in front of a surprisingly fair-sized mid-week crowd.
Calypso won the toss and batted first and led by an aggressive half-century from the bat of Tyrese Jeffers, got to a challenging 86 for 6 at the end of 10 overs.
The Easterns team was off to the worse possible start, as mystery spinner EV Webb bowled both openers for golden ducks and Easterns never recovered. They wilted at 41 for 9 but effectively all out, as Roger Fyfield was forced to retire hurt after attempting a sharp single.
