The youthful BVI Basketball team, had a very successful tour of Nevis, over the last weekend.
On the evening of Friday 9th March, the visitors totally dominated the ST. George’s under 16 team, with a score line of 103 to 49. The match was played at the Church ground hard court.

The action continued on Saturday 10th March and a very good crowd was on hand. In the preliminary game of the evening two local teams, matched their skills against each other.
Ole Skool edged out Bronx Crisis in what proved to be an excitingly close encounter.

Then, in the feature match of the evening, the BVI team whipped a mixed Nevis youth team 90 to 56.
This match had a few distasteful moments, as the BVI’s head coach had to be removed from the bench after verbally abusing the referee, due to a travelling call on one of his players.
After a long delay, the game was allowed to continue.
