Information received from an official of the Nevis Football Association indicates that the points recently awarded to the Brantley Bronx United Football team after their comprehensive win over the Villa Int team on Sunday night, have been withdrawn.
Shortly after the match, it was reported that the Nevis Football Association was investigating a complaint that the Bronx team had fielded a player who was on a red card suspension.
The official noted that it was discovered that talented striker for the team, Shaheed Tyson was indeed guilty of breaching the red card suspension rule as he had been given a red card in his previous outing by Referee Kimbel Ward and was supposed to sit out the game against the Villa team.
Tyson not only played but was instrumental in his team’s victory as he scored 2 of the goals.
The official from the Nevis Football Association noted that the points previously awarded to the Brown Hill team, have been duly withdrawn.
