The Nevis Aquatic and Sailing Center, in partnership with the Nevis Island Administration’s Department of Sports, successfully hosted the 3rd Annual Swim Fest Swimming Competition on Saturday, October 19th, 2024, at the Nevis Aquatic and Sailing Center’s location at Oualie Bay, Nevis.
Five clubs from across the Federation participated: Blue Marlin Swim Academy, Paradise Inn Swimming Academy, Swim Rite, Swim to Win and the Bring It Swim Team.
These teams of young swimmers swam in 60 individual events and 2 team relay events. Individual events included distances of 25m, 50m and 200m races in all four disciplines: Freestyle, Breaststroke, Backstroke and Butterfly.
This year also included the 200m Individual Medley showcasing swimming, doing all four strokes in a race.
One hundred children competed in age groups six and under, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14 and 15-17.
MVP Awards were given to the children achieving the highest number of points in their age categories.
MVP Female 10 & Under: Donissa Wilkinson of SwimRite
MVP Male 10 & Under: Clijae Christmas of Bring It
MVP Female 11 & Over: Skyla Connor of Bring It
MVP Male 11 & Over: Troy Nisbett of Bring it
Congratulations to the Bring It Swim Team, who received the Best Club Trophy, earning the highest number of points.
