(CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS)- Just two days after shots rang out in Prospect in the vicinity of the Public Works Department, the sounds of gunshots again rang out on the island of Nevis. This time the shots were fired in the New Castle area.
Unconfirmed reports reaching this publication indicates that sometime after 10:00 a.m. today Thursday, February 27, 2014 a number of gunshots were fired in New Castle in the vicinity of a popular shop at Shaw’s Road.
Further information revealed that two youngsters were sitting under the shop when a vehicle reversed and in a matter of seconds, four masked gunmen came out and opened fire on them. The youngsters were able to scale the railings of the shop and made an escape to the back of the shop.
The vehicle then departed the scene.
It is alleged that one of the individuals received a bullet graze to his toe.
Police are currently on the scene investigating the matter.
