Breaking News: Court removes Cabinet and Attorney General from Motion of No Confidence Matter and Awards Cost

The Motion of No Confidence Court matter brought against the Speaker, the Cabinet and the Attorney General has received a heavy blow.

On Wednesday morning [Feb.12], the Court announced that there was no cause of action against the Cabinet or the Attorney General and accordingly, removed them as parties from the originating motion.

The Court also announced, that the Speaker would be granted his “wish” to set aside the Opposition’s Notice of Discontinuance.

The Opposition Members of Parliament were also ordered by the Court to pay the Court costs for the Cabinet and the Attorney General.

The remainder of the matter is still expected to proceed but only against the Speaker.
