(CHARLESTOWN NEVIS) -The final sports meet for the athletic term, apart from the mini Olympics, set for April 5th took place at the ET Willet Park, on Wednesday 29th March.
On that day, it was the turn of the Charlestown preschool, which held its annual sports meet, under the distinguished patronage of past student, now parent, Miss Shinnette Skeete.
The children marched smartly as they saluted the patron and then competed in races such as obstacle races; flat races; fill the bucket; relay races and more.
So intense was the competition that one athlete, when he realized that he was about to come in last in a particular race, grabbed at the shirt of his nearest competitor in an attempt to pull him back.
At the end of the meet the following were the results:
Blue house -379 points-champions
Red house-330 points-2nd
Green house-329 points-3rd
