After a 14-year break, the Church Ground basketball league has been reestablished. The league officially commenced on Sunday, August 11th with an opening ceremony chaired by the tournament’s chief coordinator, Mrs. Wanda Parry-France. Hon. Mark Brantley, the chief sponsor of the Tournament and Area representative, also addressed the gathering. Hon. Troy Liburd, the Minister of Sports, gave brief remarks and officially declared the league open.
Following the opening ceremony, an exhibition match was played between ASC Wolf Pack and a Malcolm Guishard select team. The final score was ASC Wolfpack 68, Malcolm Guishard Select 49. The match summary is as follows:
