Congratulations to 7 ft 20-year-old center prospect, Nicolas Claxton, from the USVI, but of Nevisian heritage, who was picked 31st by the NBA team, Brooklyn Nets.
He averaged 3.1 BLKS per 40 in 32 games played this season, which was third among collegiate 2019 #nba draft picks.
He is the cousin of Keda Wade and Farda Fish Richards and is BLACK HAT’s and Nelta’s nephew.
His grandmother is Sylvia Wade Claxton of bath Village, but she resides in St. Thomas.
Claxton joins Kittitian Jonathan Isaac of Orlando Magic as the only current NBA player of SKN heritage.
