(CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS)- The conference room of the Rudolph Hardtman Building located on Happy Hill Drive, Charlestown, was the venue on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 for a brief but significant ceremony. The occasion was for the handing over of two Dell Computers to the Gingerland Secondary School (GSS), by Attorney and businessman, Mr. Gregory Hardtman.
Mrs. Lineth Williams, Deputy Principal of the Gingerland Secondary School (GSS) accepted on behalf of the school and she described the donation as a significant investment to the teachers and students of the learning institution.
Mr. Hardtman noted that he was pleased that he could have made such a contribution to the Gingerland Secondary School; a school that he once attended. As a businessman he stressed the significance of education and was delighted to be able to contribute to the education of students at the GSS.
In response, Mrs. Williams thanked Mr. Hardtman for the donations and expressed gratitude for the computers that she said would be used in the secretary’s office and in the staff room to assist with the school’s database.
Also present at the ceremony was Mr. Clyde Freeman, Woodwork teacher at the GSS. He also thanked Mr. Hardtman for the computers.
The presentation of the two computers resulted from a very recent request by the counselor of the GSS, Mrs. Shirley Wilkes.
