About three weeks after an impressive act of kindness during the annual sports meet at Ivor Walters Primary School, sports journalist Curtis Morton spoke with Zanaira Jeffers at her school to discuss the event.
Zanaira recounted how, during the 100-meter race for fifth-grade girls, she saw her best friend trip and fall. “Nobody went to help her, so I decided to step in. I helped her back to her feet and walked with her to the finish line,” she explained.
Morton referred to her as “a good Samaritan” and encouraged her to continue living a life dedicated to helping others.
