Nevisian athlete T’anna Liburd, a student at Central Arizona College, has kicked off her 2025 season with a victory at the Al Shirley Invitational. Competing in the Women’s 400m Section 3, Liburd finished with a time of 56.74 seconds, securing the top spot in her section and ranking #1 among a field of 12 competitors.
Additionally, Liburd contributed to the success of her team, as she, along with Amiyanee Harris, Aliyah Gidharry, and Grace Kombetto, won the Women’s 4 x 400m Relay, clocking in at 3:53.35. The Al Shirley Invitational was hosted by Mary Wimmer Timing in Tucson, Arizona.
