On Monday, November 25th, Gingerland Secondary School hosted its annual cross-country events.
In the morning session, the junior girls and boys participated, taking slightly different routes. Both groups started at the school’s main gate and headed along the main road.
The girls made a left turn at the police station and ran through Hardtimes, then through Rawlins, exiting by the Old Manor Hotel. They then returned to the main road and made their way back to the school. In contrast, the boys turned left at Brino’s shop, ran through Hardtimes and 16 Acres, went through Rawlins, and exited at Old Manor Hotel before heading back to the school.
Shondell Freeman took an early lead for the girls and maintained first place all the way back to the school. Similarly, Somaro Arthurton led the boys from the start and dominated the race until the finish line.
