Athletics : Red Edges Blue by Two Points

The Joycelyn Liburd Primary School (JLPS) hosted its annual sports meet on Thursday, February 27th, and it was arguably the most competitive event of the year so far. The distinguished joint patrons for the day were Mrs. Shyra Manners and Mr. Yan Michael David.

Athletes competed in a variety of races, including the 400, 800, 1200, 200, and the 4×100 and 4×400 meters relays. The competition was intense, with some houses tied on points at various times during the meet.

In the end, the final two races determined the outcome, and the Red House narrowly outperformed the Blue House, winning by just two points! The final points were as follows:

– Red House: 343 points (champions)
– Blue House: 341 points
– Green House: 304 points
