Athletics Liburd Family Makes Significant Donation

On Friday, March 28th, a brief yet significant ceremony was held at the Education Department in Marion Heights.

Ms Johnella Evelyn, representing the Liburd family and honouring the legacy of the late Joseph Alphonso Liburd, presented several tablet computers to the Ministry of Education and Sports in collaboration with the St. Kitts Chocolate Factory.

She mentioned that the tablets will be invaluable for registering athletes, recording field events, and providing accurate and timely scoring data.

Accepting the donation on behalf of her ministry, Permanent Secretary Zahnela Claxton acknowledged that Joseph Liburd made substantial contributions to sports and athletics in Nevis. She expressed gratitude for the timely donations and assured that they would be properly utilized and maintained.

Also present were several other family members and representatives from the Ministry of Education and Sports.
