On Tuesday, December 3rd, the Joycelyn Liburd Primary School hosted its annual cross-country event. The routes varied depending on the age of the children, from Kindergartners to students in grades five and six.
Three standout races produced two new records. In the grades 3 and 4 girls’ race, Kalea Freeman pushed Adira Wallace right to the finish, resulting in a new record. Meanwhile, in the grades 3 and 4 boys’ race, twin brothers Remiel and Reuel Christmas challenged each other for bragging rights, leading to another new record. Although the competition was fierce in the grades 5 and 6 boys’ race between the eventual winner, Kenroy Fraser and second-place Teondre Elliott, they both fell short of the record time.
