On Sunday, February 2nd, Elizabeth Pemberton Primary School hosted its annual Relay Festival at the Nevis Athletic Stadium. The event was, as usual, sponsored by A-1 Farms.
Primary schools from Nevis participated, along with the St. Paul’s Primary School from St. Kitts, Gingerland Secondary School, Basseterre High School from St. Kitts, and the Over the Top Track Club, all of which presented relay teams for the event.
Unfortunately, some local schools were unable to participate due to recent outbreaks of hand, foot, and mouth disease.
There was no overall winner established, as Coach Adelvin Phillip noted that the meet was not designed to determine one. However, spectators enjoyed some thrilling races throughout the day.
