The eagerly awaited competition between Charlestown Secondary School (CSS Lions) and Gingerland Secondary School (GSS Panthers) took place at the Nevis Athletic Stadium on March 9th and 10th. The Bank of Nevis sponsored the event with $20,000.00.
For two days, the athletes engaged in fierce competition with events such as javelin shot put, long jump, high jump, 100, 200, 400, 800, 1200 and 1500 meter races, and hurdles, 4×100 and 4×400 relays.
On Sunday, the competition was even more intense, with records being smashed in the first four races of the 100-meter event. The climax of the event was the 4×400 meters race, where the athletes refused to back down, keeping the spectators on their feet from start to finish.
In the end, the CSS Lions came out on top, winning the most medals. The GSS Panthers had to settle for second place. Here are the medal counts:

GSS-Gold-27; Silver 30; Bronze 25 (Total – 82 medals)

Khaldreece Chapman was crowned Victrix Ludorum, while Zidan Hull was named Victor Ludorum.
