President of the Antigua & Barbuda Masters Cricket Association, Elkanah Charles, has confirmed that his Association will definitely host the annual Leeward Islands Masters Cricket tournament, slated for June 6th to 10th this year.
As a matter of fact, the President has already started to send out information to the teams, pertaining to possible accommodations and cost.
The Antigua and Barbuda Association had failed to honour their duties in hosting the tournament on at least two occasions in the recent past and this certainly comes as good news.
Meantime, the Nevis Masters Cricket team, will meet at the ET Willet Park this afternoon-Tuesday 15th January, to finalize plans pertinent to one of their ailing team mates, Teddy BLACKMAN Liburd, who is currently warded at a hospital in Barbados, after a traumatic vehicular accident.
They will finalize plans for a fund raising Cricket match versus the St. Kitts Masters team, slated for Saturday 19th January, at the ET Willet Park, set to start at 2 pm.
It is understood that a well-stocked bar with food and drink will be available and a box will be passed around for donations, at a specific time during the match.
The Nevis Masters will also commence making plans for the Antigua trip in June, when they intend to successfully defend their championship.
