(EMU) – St. Kitts, November 4, 2014: The Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) has informed the Ministry of Education that Ms Kimi-Lee Knight, a student of Basseterre High School, has produced the Most Outstanding performance in the May-June 2014 Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) examinations for St. Kitts & Nevis.
Kimi-Lee offered thirteen (13) subjects and her achievements are as follows: twelve (12) Grade I passes in Caribbean History, Chemistry, English A, English B, French, Geography, Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics, Technical Drawing, Electronic Document Preparation & Management and Physical Education & Sport; and one (1) Grade II pass in Music. Kimi-Lee also achieved the Most Outstanding performance in Humanities.
Kamil Wilkin of the Charlestown Secondary School and Jael Gumbs of the Washington Archibald High School achieved the Most Outstanding performance in Business and Technical and Vocational Studies respectively.
Kamil offered ten (10) subjects and attained nine (9) Grade I passes in: Caribbean History, English A, Information Technology, Integrated Science, Mathematics, Principles of Accounts, Principles of Business, Electronic Document Preparation & Management and Building Technology: Woods; and one (1) Grade II in Physics.
Jael offered eleven (11) subjects and earned seven (7) Grade I passes in: English A, Information Technology, Mathematics, Principles of Accounts, Technical Drawing, Physical Education & Sport and Electrical & Electronic Technology; two (2) Grade II passes in: Caribbean History and Geography; and finally two (2) Grade III passes in Physics and Spanish.
The Ministry of Education would like to congratulate Ms Kimi-Lee Knight, Mr Kamil Wilkin, Mr Jael Gumbs, their parents and respective schools on their extraordinary achievements and to encourage them to continue striving for excellence as they pursue further studies.
