The Nevis Aquatic and Sailing Center is ready to host the inaugural FALL SWIM FEST, which is slated for Sunday 23rd October, at Oualie Beach.
Representatives of the Center, Tee Liburd, Danielle Connor and James Weekes, faced the camera on Wednesday, alongside Director of Sports on Nevis, Jamir Claxton, to make a pitch for the event.
The event will commence at 9 am with warm-up exercises, with the actual races, set to commence at 10 am.
The process of eliminations will continue throughout the day, with the finals hopefully climaxing sometime between 2 pm and 4 pm.
The targeted age groups range from about 8 years old, right up to age 16.
Challenges between adults on the day will also be accommodated.
Persons can register online, at just $5.00 per individual and $50.00 per team.
There will be food, drink and music galore.
BIG SIX and ROSIE’s Patties, will be a part of the food lineup.
Jamir Claxton is hoping that the Center will make it into an annual event and is vowing his department’s full support in ensuring that it happens.
