(CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS)- Nevis has recorded its 5th homicide for the year with the stabbing death of Pabel Santana of Stoney Grove, Nevis.
Police confirmed on Sunday (28th December) that they have an arrest warrant for Alexander Diaz, a national of the Dominican Republic who is believed to have stabbed Santana at Enrique’s Bar, located on the opposite side of the Elquemedo Willett Park on Sunday, December 21, 2014.
One week after the incident, the well known barber succumbed to his injuries at the Alexandra Hospital.
Since the occurrence, the accused victim has been on the run; and police are seeking the help from the general public to help locate the wanted man.
Prior to the incident, Diaz resided in Bath Village and was employed at Shemaco Baber Shop.
Diaz is five feet eight inches in height, fair in complexion with black hair and brown eyes and weighs 150 pounds.
The public is hereby warned that anyone who harbours or helps Diaz to evade the police would be committing an offence and would be arrested and charged.
