The Conaree Fireballs, were literally left smouldering in the dust after a remarkable exhibition of top Football skills from well known Nevisian athlete, Adrian Williams.
Williams was representing the Nevis based Hardtimes team which made its debut appearance in the St.Kitts-Nevis Football Association division one championships, on Saturday 10th October.
Williams in an interview on Tuesday indicated that his speed really made the difference.
“Whenever I got the ball, I tried to outrun the defense and it worked”, he said.
The final score line was Hard Times 4 Conaree Fireballs 2. Amazingly, Williams scored the first hat trick of the season by converting all of three of the goals for his team.
He stated that his favourite goal was the third one, when the defense was passing around the ball inside of their box, thinking that everything was safe and he ran quickly forward, gained possession of the ball and slammed it home.
Williams is now looking forward to another exciting weekend as their next match is slated for Saturday 17th October but this time on the familiar territory of the Bath Village Playing field.
