Rain once again had the final word as regards the second semi final encounter in the local second division competition.
Highlights was all set to engage Pennyless All Stars in a much anticipated clash which will determine the other finalist in the second divison fixtures this year. The match was scheduled for the ET Willet Park for Tuesday 21st May but consistent showers of rain forced yet another postponement.
Empire has already secured a spot in the finals after defeating SDA Jets last week.
President of the Nevis Cricket Association, Keith Scarborough, indicated on Tuesday that the match will now be scheduled for Thursday 23rd May at the ET Willet Park.
It must however be noted that some of the members of both teams may have been happy for the extra time as they would have been engaged in the very hectic schedule of the Leeward Islands Masters’ tournament which was held in St.Kitts last weekend.
The Nevis team played back to back matches on Saturday and then played a semi final encounter on Sunday morning and the grand finals on Sunday afternoon.
Pennyless All stars would have been represented by Stuart Williams, Gerard Charles, Elroy David and Carl Tuckett, while Highlights featured Wendell Wallace, Audie Liburd and Velly Maynard.
