The Cave Hill students at the University of the West Indies have accorded the privilege and honour to Prime Minister Dr the Hon Timothy Harris to speak at a special event this Thursday, March 31, 2016.
Dr Harris, an alumnus of the Cave Hill Campus, accepted the invitation to speak at his alma mater. In 1988, Dr Harris graduated from the Cave Hill Campus of UWI with a First Class Honours Degree in Accounting and won the coveted Victor Cooke Prize of Best Accounting Student.
In 1992, Dr Harris graduated from the St Augustine Campus of UWI with a distinction in the Master’s Degree Management Studies Programme.
Following his excellent performance, the University of the West Indies in collaboration with the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) sponsored Dr Harris’ participation in the Ph.D Programme involving four universities in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, namely Concordia, Mc Gill, University of Quebec at Montreal (UQAM) and Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC).
Dr Harris’ address will focus on the integration movement of the region.
While in Barbados, Dr Harris will meet with representatives of regional and international entities.
